So What is WABI: A Taste of Japan?

A brand new Japanese food, drink and culture show.  Food and drink companies will combine with live product demonstrations, tastings and workshops to make an unforgettable day out in London, which captures the true essence of Japan.

What does WABI mean?

WABI is an ancient Japanese term that represents a quality of serene beauty, composed of the translations of 2 Japanese characters: WA, which embodies Japan, peace and harmony and BI, which represents beauty. As such, WABI: A Taste of Japan will offer an opportunity for visitors to source high-end, luxury Japanese products, with a focus on aesthetics, style and beauty.

What can people expect when they visit?

WABI: A Taste of Japan, will present Japanese food and drink specialists (sake, gin, rum, whisky, etc.) alongside live product demonstrations by Japanese Chef, tastings, sake walks and workshops to make an unforgettable event that captures the true essence of Japan.

The event is primarily an exhibition, to allow consumers to discover Japanese products that are hard to purchase in the UK, or products that they already buy and love, in one convenient location.

Japan Airlines (JAL) is the sponsor of the event and will be creating a “check-in” zone at the entrance to the show, where their boarding passes (tickets) will be checked by the “cabin crew”.

Competition – JAL are hosting a competition, offering visitors a chance to win 2 premium economy return flights to a destination of their choice within Japan.
