Japan Nakama; An App That Puts London's Japan In The Palm Of Your Hand
Here at Love Japan we're always on the lookout for fun Japanese themed events to visit. So imagine our excitement when Japan Nakama got in touch with news about the brand new app they've developed to keep people in the loop about all things Japanese in London. The app showcases info about all of London's Japanese events and meet-ups, covering Japanese fashion, food, culture, anime and more. The aim? To connect people through the spirit of Japan.

What gave you the idea to develop the app?
Ever since we were teenagers we've been searching for entertainment around London. We're hugely influenced by Japanese Culture. For example we organise martial arts like Iaido (similar to Kendo but with real swords), find Japanese karaoke spots, visit Japanese language groups, watch anime and even participate in the art of ikebana (flower arrangement).
We made many friends along the way who also loved Japan (aka nakama in Japanese). Among our growing circle of friends, we exchanged information on Japanese events around London that we had previously never heard of - sake tasting, Japanese fashion shows and photography meets. The culture exploration was a lot bigger than we first thought!
We were frustrated that we were missing a lot, (and so were our Nakama), so we decided to create one place where we could find the best of Japan whilst in London; Japan Nakama and the Japanese Events & News App!
What are the benefits for people who download it?
